Universitary Hospital receives ten new Intensive Care Unit beds for COVID-19 treatment

The State Secretariat for Health (Sesa) delivered ten respirators and ten multifunction monitors that will be used to assemble ten ICU beds in the Universitary Hospital. "With the transferring of the equipments the Western Paraná Universitary Hospital (Huop) is ready to serve patients that shall be afflicted by this virus, because beyond these 10 ICU beds we also added more 20 ward beds to assist the population and, if needed, with Sesa's support, we have possibilities to extend the structure", says Huop's director, Rafael Muniz de Oliveira. The total investment in the new equipments was around R$ 800 thousand.
