UN SDG

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which were adopted in September of 2015, are a global agenda composed of 17 goals to be achieved up to 2030. Global actions in the area of food security, agriculture, health, poverty eradication, gender equality, inequality reduction, energy, water and sanitation, sustainable cities, climate change, protection and conscious use of the oceans and terrestrial ecosystems, inclusive economic growth, infrastructure, industrialization, among others, are in the agenda. These actions were agreed by 193 UN state-members and aim, according to the UN Secretary-General, Ban Ki-moon, "to end poverty in all its dimensions, irreversibly, everywhere".
